NFL20 Episode 37- NFL Draft Preview!

Welcome back to the NFL20 podcast!

A very special Triple A edition of your favourite Whetstone-based NFL pod, featuring not only Amberish and Andrew, but also local NFL Draft guru Alex Kay!

Yes, we've wrangled Alex for an entire episode (actually it was his idea) to talk about the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft in all its isolated glory. We've got quick rundowns on 10 of the top prospects, and do 2 Truths and a Lie for all of them. Is Justin Herbert really afraid of milk? Can Andrew Thomas possibly be African American? Was CeeDee Lamb really named after the compact disc?

All that plus an infamous Call That A Bet, Sir (which is once again to do with the Bucs), and we've even got a quintuple hit of Amberish's infamous cryptic clues, all crammed efficiently into a sleek one hour-plus package!

NFL20 Episode 36- NFC Offseason Roundups

Welcome back to the NFL20 podcast!

This time out it's the off-season NFC previews, skating across all 16 team in the National Conference of Football, which is what NFC stands for.

Amberish and Andrew take a look at the Great White North, the travails of Miles Sanders, and the newly-arrived Jordan Howard. Not to mention Washington's major off-season acquisition, an Adrian Peterson road rage interview (not by your fine hosts, who actually know what Adrian Peterson looks like), and we totally mention Carson Wentz's massive new contract, making him the highest paid NFL player ever.....

Ok we didn't mention it, but it's because we recorded this podcast before it happened.

Elsewhere, the boys don't miss the chance to take a final shot at departing Atlanta OC Steve Sarkisian, and red hot news, Amberish thinks Matt Ryan is better than Superbowl winning don, Joe Flacco!

All that and much more from the men in their underwear, keeping that Whestone podcast top four heated until at least training camp starts.

NFL20 Ep34- Oily Discs and Playoff Picks (in association with Adam Vinatieri)

Welcome back to the NFL20 Podcast- one of the top four NFL podcasts in the Greater Whetstone area, and this week in association with Adam Vinatieri!

Well, it's 2019 and Amberish and Andrew have returned from their travels (and stopped playing Red Dead Redemption 2) just long enough to fit in a sleek new episode of NFL20.

This week/month the dudes dive into the promising batch of games for the wild card weekend. Amberish's guaranteed money* system takes on Andrew's brain and the two mighty machines mostly agree one the winners- should Andrew be worried for his humanity?

Elsewhere we find out the breadth of Andrew's Ultimate Frisbee knowledge as he possibly invents a new type of throw, Amberish calls Joe Flacco average (again), and the guys seem to figure out that Khalil Mack is good. All this and more on the latest droppings from the NFL20 tree!

NFL20 Ep 33- Quick Armpit Relief

Welcome back young and handsome fans of NFL20!

It's only been a few weeks since the last episode, kind of, and here come Amberish and Andrew again to sort the men from the boys; it's the scientific prediction of who will win each division! That's right 8 guaranteed predictions for you to unwisely gamble your money on. Or you could just listen for the jokes.

As well as running through the divisional probabilities, we also get Madden 19 to simulate who will win the Superbowl. Doesn't get more scientific than that. Stay tuned for surprise results, another visit from Johnny Manziel, and not one, but TWO Anthony Sobati shoutouts! Not to mention the first ever breaking news story in NFL20 history! It's the perfect remedy for any hot, stuffy tube journey.

NFL20 Ep 31

NFL20 Ep 31

Back Again! Welcome to another episode of the NFL20 podcast, one of the top four NFL podcasts in the Greater Whetstone area.

This week is all about a different flava. We've got some quarterback news, including a segment where we diss Geno Smith, and THE NOTORIOUS!.... IK Enempkali makes an appearance, as does legendary coach Jim Mora.

Speaking of which, we move on to a special rundown of the playoff picture in every division, with Amberish of course providing statistical backup for all his opinions (which are really just reading out stats), thanks to a glorious round of Monte Carlo simulations that have resulted in some interesting findings, and Amberish really wanting to go and lose all his money in Southern France.

Elsewhere, we award our latest DeShaun/Shone/Sean of the Week, and boy is this one a surprise. The defence will literally never see this one coming.

Last but not least, by popular demand, we have re-enlisted our Not-So-Special Guest Alex Kay. We apologize for his long absence, we could not afford his agent fee. He joins us for possibly Amberish's most nonsensical word clue game yet.

Thanks as ever to our 5 fans for listening. And hey, stay tuned in until the very end, you may just find a Marvel-esque outtake waiting for you.

NFL20 Ep 30- The One With All the Sphincters

NFL20 reaches the grand old 3-0, and Amberish and Andrew celebrate by, erm, talking about NFL.

This week you'll hear interesting facts about the human body and the football fans of LA. We take an in-depth look at a trio of games from the week that was Week 1, and Amberish heroically whizzes through the rest of those games, leaving a destructive trail of jokes in his wake.

Then, naturally, the boyz look forward to the Saints @ Panthers, Seahawks @ Titans and Chiefs @ Chargers tilts. Statistical probabilities of victory are of course provided, but not before we reveal our second DESEAN/SHONE/SHAUN OF THE WEEK winner!

Thanks to all who listen, and responding to fan feedback which felt that Ep 29 left out too much of the endearing banter and bullshit that NFL20 is known for, the guys have chucked all that stuff right back in! Rock 'n roll!

Don't forget everyone, you can tweet us @nfl_20, or email us over 140 characters of abuse at nfl20pod@gmail.com. Be like Marta.

Peace out.

Ep 29- Return of the King(s)

Welcome back the fourth biggest NFL studs in the Greater Whetstone area!!

That's right it's Ep 29 of the NFL 20 podcast, Greater Whetstone's fourth most irregular NFL show. After popular demand (three people) demanded our return, we decided to shake off the long, boring off-season, and ignore that snoozeworthy Super Bowl, and get back into action with Week 1 reviews, including the Monday night games which hadn't happened at the time of recording. We called the Saints @ Vikings game slightly wrong, but give Amberish credit for pretty much nailing the Chargers @ Broncos matchup!

Elsewhere, we announce some actual fan-mail (from a GIRL no less), cover Brock Osweiler's handsomeness, and unveil a semi-exciting new weekly award. And if that wasn't enough, we even preview some fiery Week 2 matchups- Patriots @ Saints, Packers @ Falcons, and the Super Bowl preview Eagles @ Chiefs, complete with bettings odds guaranteed to win you money!*. Who needs David Johnson when you have Amberish and Andrew- two fantasy studs! Bwaargh.

This bumper one hour episode goes out to all our loyal fans. Hang about until the end to hear Andrew work remedial tiger penis medicine into an NFL joke! S'brilliant I tell you.

p.s. sorry we didn't make an episode for nine months.

Ep 28- Wildcards and Gladrags

It's here- NFL20 Ep 28!

A mere 2 or 3 weeks after our last pod, Whetstone's fourth biggest NFL studs are back with more American Foozball goodness.

This week it's about the Wildcard previews, as teams good and shit from all over the NFL fight over who gets to lose to New England. Even Minnesota has its part to play. Featuring as usual are some terrible puns, two of which we apologize for (and many which we don't). Who's that Other Guy in Oakland's backfield? Will A-A-ron Rodgers outclass Eli in the cold? How in the world can Miami keep up with the Steelers? And just how will ex-basketball player John Fant hold up against a sterling Detroit pass rush? We don't know any of this, but we guessed.

Also included is a free guaranteed* money-making scheme known as Amberish's Superbowl probabilities. Which is ironic because Amberish received a scam phone call during the making of this pod. But our man has shrugged off the heated attentions of 'Kate Mark' at 'Digital Network Services' and laid down the percentages of each team winning the Superb Owl, and one team has come out on top. By quite a long way. And it ain't Miami.

Live long and prosper!

Ep 27- A Sci-Fi Prediction Adventure

Welcome to Ep 27, NFL20 fanboys!

Due to Amberish being utterly swamped with wearing pyjamas, and deciding which pyjamas to wear, he was unable to edit this week's pod. It has unfortunately fallen to me, Andrew, the professional editor, to do it AGAIN. Bloody foreigners.

This week we begin with some antipasti, a delicious meat board of last week's amazing Week 10 games. There's no baloney on this board, it's like constant bresaola. Bresaola kicks ass.

Then, we preview some of Week 11's classiest games- Baltimore @ Dallas, Houston @ Oakland (@ Mexico) and Philly @ Seattle. Find out the definitive facts* on how the Cowboys will handle the Prescott/Romo situation, how Carson Wentz will fare in Boom Town (complete with interruption from Richard 'The Best' Sherman) and what the hell an 80s German pop song has to do with Brock Osweiler and his adventures in Meheeco.

As if that wasn't enough, we'll also be making you tonnes of guaranteed money** by jacking into the sci-fi world of Amberish's game-prediction system to figure out probable winners for all 8 divisions! It's a lot of hard work we're all grateful we don't have to do, just like bin man Blake Bortles's job.

All that and not much more on a bumper episode of the NFL20 Podcast!

Thanks to BioWare and Nena for totally giving us permission to use their wonderful music in this episode.

NFL 20 Ep 26- Visions of the Future Past

Welcome back one and all for a quickfire look at both the entire NFC offseason, and the much-anticipated Week 1 games!

A laugh-centric intro sets the theme for the episode. Amberish writes up some comedy gold and manages to zip through all 16 NFC teams' offseasons in a nutshell in around 3 mins- a new NFL media record. The question- did we ask Fleetwood Mac if we could use their song while we did it?  I'll say to you what my girlfriend said to me- you shouldn't have to ask, you should just know.

Week 1 games under scrutiny- Bengals @ Jets, Giants @ Cowboys, Patriots @ Cardinals (featuring a mention for little known Patriots practice squadder Manny Bennett. Also apologies to white person Sebastian Vollmer- we confused you, multiple times, for white person Nate Solder), and of course LA @ San Fran, the only game that matters this week.

AND we delve into our future-predictive capabilities by making some outrageous calls on the Panthers @ Broncos game. Which hall of famer turns up hawking Papa Johns? And which starting quarterback will be mercilessly gunned down by law enforcement? (hint- it's the black one).

And as promised- our first multimedia feature; Colin Kaepernick's afro! Fight the power!!

NFL20 Ep 25- Big Sexy AFC Off-Season Shiz

Hiiiii-dee-hoowww!

It's time for NFL20 Episode 25, in which Amberish and Andrew rip through the entire conference like a big, sexy fire, recapping all the major free agency and draft moves the teams have been making.

Find out the root of why Amberish says 'Mike Waaaaaaallace' in that weird way he does, and how Andrew looks like a tennis ball these days. Not to mention- the inside track on how the division standings will end up, thanks to Amberish and his Predictor-tron simulating the season 500 times! The man is never wrong*!

Episode also includes a record-breaking number of wicked musical interludes, which we totally got the licence for.

NFL20 Episode 24

Welcome to NFL20 Ep 24!

Well, well. It's Superbowl time, and after taking the piss out of the Pro Bowl, we get right into our predictions. Denver or Carolina? What about Cam's pants? And where does Peyton like to throw the ball? You don't know, but Not-So-Special-Guest Alex Kay does!

Elsewhere we find out other vital information such as; the true lineup of the Backstreet Boys, why Alex Kay has been writing about Dick Moves, and some speculation on Deion Sanders's wardrobe rep.

All in all, a great way to end the season. Apart from when we (maybe) put together an end of season/ draft special.

NFL20 Episode 23

Welcome to NFL20 Ep 23!

Yes, after another mini-hiatus super-studs Andrew and Amberish are back. Amberish is finally back in the UK, meaning no more Skype podcasts, and you can clearly tell the difference in audio quality (totally).

This week we look at THE DIVISIONAL ROUND, as well as the Wild Card matches that just happened. Dirty, dirty Pittsburgh and 27th-ranked Washington get handled, while our detailed analysis for Carolina v Seattle goes as far as naming one, then all three of the surfaces on which that game will be played. On the way to predicting our Divisional winners we find out some interesting facts about the inventor of Segways, and Amberish's system odds on who'll win the Superb-Owl.

Caution, like every other piece of media released in the last 6 months, contains Star Wars spoilers.

NFL20 Episode 22

Welcome back to the NFL20 Podcast!
After another ‘brief’ hiatus, Whetstone’s (fourth) finest NFL minds are back with our FOURTH (not third like Andrew said in the pod itself) episode of the season. In Week 11. Naturally.
This installment sees the return of various joyous NFL20 tropes old and new. Amberish gets to rip Rob Ryan properly this time. There’s a mention of the famous 37-Burger, as well as ghostly Hakeem Nicks alter-ego Akiem Hicks, and the return of our perhaps-confusing use of James Bond actors to denote how well Andy Dalton is playing*.
Elsewhere Andrew bets that Peyton Manning will never play again, we learn a fascinating factoid about baked beans, hear some outlandish Superb-Owl picks (not really) and our fans create an almighty ruckus all episode long- by which we mean Andrew’s laptop fans, and he couldn’t remember how to reduce the noise. Trust me, you get used to it eventually.
Are you ready for some PODBAAALLL??!?!

*It’s a Timothy Dalton reference, Sean Connery being the highest rating on the James Bond scale and George Lazenby being the lowest. This scale can only be applied to Andy Dalton, or I suppose if another quarterback comes in the league with a Bond actor’s surname like…Dave Brosnan or something.

NFL20 Episode 20!

NFL20 Episode 20!

Join Greater Whetstone's most handsome NFL podcasting duo as we arrive at our momentous 20th Episode, and uncover the NFL's most pressing issues:

-We have the last word on Deflategate. Why? Because we're the only ones still talking about it.
-We delve into the mysteries of the mythical SeaBears game, and find out which marine mammal Jimmy Clausen has been known to throw downfield.
-Meanwhile, everything else is backwards- Amberish and Andrew agree that Carolina will beat the Saints, that Peyton Manning is sh*t (ish), and that the Jets are an awesome team. Unbelievable scenes.

Mini disclaimer- we do hope you are not offended by Amberish's android robot voice, as this episode was made over Skype, and through recording on a mobile phone. Do not fear, Amberish has not yet become a machine.

And stay tuned 'til the end for Andrew's highly original Superbowl pick!*

NFL20 Episode 15- Return of the Kings

Welcome (back) to the NFL20 Podcast- one of the top four NFL podcasts in the Greater Whetstone area!

Firstly we must apologize profusely to our dedicated listeners (both of them) for going missing for over a month. Various cocktails of illnesses and travelling have kept us away from our one true passion- wowing you with our lack of knowledge. But we're back, just in time for the pointy end of the season!

In this week’s episode Amberish tells us about stomach staplings, we hear about that great Broncos
quarterback Walter Payton, and Andrew recalls some Jay Cutler bathroom antics
(which may or may not have happened). Also, we imagine the greatness that would
be Jay Cutler making throws to surprise wide receiver…Carson Palmer.

NFL 20 Episode 14

Episode 14 of the NFL20 podcast- one of the top four NFL podcasts in the Greater Whetstone area!

This week we finally preview all four AFC North games, the best division in football. We also get down with the latest game reviews and spot bets from the king of numbers- Amberish Jaipuria. AND, we get to hear his Danny Glover impression. It's really good.

*Apologies for the lateness of this upload. While the betting info may not be of as much use, our comedy and insight are timeless we think you'll agree.
