NFL 20 Ep 26- Visions of the Future Past

Welcome back one and all for a quickfire look at both the entire NFC offseason, and the much-anticipated Week 1 games!

A laugh-centric intro sets the theme for the episode. Amberish writes up some comedy gold and manages to zip through all 16 NFC teams' offseasons in a nutshell in around 3 mins- a new NFL media record. The question- did we ask Fleetwood Mac if we could use their song while we did it?  I'll say to you what my girlfriend said to me- you shouldn't have to ask, you should just know.

Week 1 games under scrutiny- Bengals @ Jets, Giants @ Cowboys, Patriots @ Cardinals (featuring a mention for little known Patriots practice squadder Manny Bennett. Also apologies to white person Sebastian Vollmer- we confused you, multiple times, for white person Nate Solder), and of course LA @ San Fran, the only game that matters this week.

AND we delve into our future-predictive capabilities by making some outrageous calls on the Panthers @ Broncos game. Which hall of famer turns up hawking Papa Johns? And which starting quarterback will be mercilessly gunned down by law enforcement? (hint- it's the black one).

And as promised- our first multimedia feature; Colin Kaepernick's afro! Fight the power!!

NFL20 Ep 25- Big Sexy AFC Off-Season Shiz

Hiiiii-dee-hoowww!

It's time for NFL20 Episode 25, in which Amberish and Andrew rip through the entire conference like a big, sexy fire, recapping all the major free agency and draft moves the teams have been making.

Find out the root of why Amberish says 'Mike Waaaaaaallace' in that weird way he does, and how Andrew looks like a tennis ball these days. Not to mention- the inside track on how the division standings will end up, thanks to Amberish and his Predictor-tron simulating the season 500 times! The man is never wrong*!

Episode also includes a record-breaking number of wicked musical interludes, which we totally got the licence for.

*sometimes they don't work

NFL20 Episode 24

Welcome to NFL20 Ep 24!

Well, well. It's Superbowl time, and after taking the piss out of the Pro Bowl, we get right into our predictions. Denver or Carolina? What about Cam's pants? And where does Peyton like to throw the ball? You don't know, but Not-So-Special-Guest Alex Kay does!

Elsewhere we find out other vital information such as; the true lineup of the Backstreet Boys, why Alex Kay has been writing about Dick Moves, and some speculation on Deion Sanders's wardrobe rep.

All in all, a great way to end the season. Apart from when we (maybe) put together an end of season/ draft special.

NFL20 Episode 23

Welcome to NFL20 Ep 23!

Yes, after another mini-hiatus super-studs Andrew and Amberish are back. Amberish is finally back in the UK, meaning no more Skype podcasts, and you can clearly tell the difference in audio quality (totally).

This week we look at THE DIVISIONAL ROUND, as well as the Wild Card matches that just happened. Dirty, dirty Pittsburgh and 27th-ranked Washington get handled, while our detailed analysis for Carolina v Seattle goes as far as naming one, then all three of the surfaces on which that game will be played. On the way to predicting our Divisional winners we find out some interesting facts about the inventor of Segways, and Amberish's system odds on who'll win the Superb-Owl.

Caution, like every other piece of media released in the last 6 months, contains Star Wars spoilers.

NFL20 Episode 22

Welcome back to the NFL20 Podcast!
After another ‘brief’ hiatus, Whetstone’s (fourth) finest NFL minds are back with our FOURTH (not third like Andrew said in the pod itself) episode of the season. In Week 11. Naturally.
This installment sees the return of various joyous NFL20 tropes old and new. Amberish gets to rip Rob Ryan properly this time. There’s a mention of the famous 37-Burger, as well as ghostly Hakeem Nicks alter-ego Akiem Hicks, and the return of our perhaps-confusing use of James Bond actors to denote how well Andy Dalton is playing*.
Elsewhere Andrew bets that Peyton Manning will never play again, we learn a fascinating factoid about baked beans, hear some outlandish Superb-Owl picks (not really) and our fans create an almighty ruckus all episode long- by which we mean Andrew’s laptop fans, and he couldn’t remember how to reduce the noise. Trust me, you get used to it eventually.
Are you ready for some PODBAAALLL??!?!

*It’s a Timothy Dalton reference, Sean Connery being the highest rating on the James Bond scale and George Lazenby being the lowest. This scale can only be applied to Andy Dalton, or I suppose if another quarterback comes in the league with a Bond actor’s surname like…Dave Brosnan or something.

NFL20 Episode 21

NFL 20 Episode 21!

After promising to deliver a podcast to our fans a mere 4 days after Episode 20, Amberish and Andrew return with Episode 21, a mere 3 weeks later.

It's another emotional episode as Amberish continues to sound like a robot (but less so) over Skype, and the words 'Peyton' and 'fail' are said in the same sentence, in fact right next to each other.

Elsewhere, we look at (nearly) all the 5-0 teams in the league and review just how the Colts called in the 2005 Madden All-Stars to beat Tennessee. Other highlights include the resumption of 'Call That A Bet, Sir', a superb Richard Sherman drop, and a bit of Amberish singing which I said I'd edit out, but didn't!

Enjoy!
